I’M CAROLYN

Mother. Designer. TV Host. Style Rebel.

I’m a mother to four beautiful children, owner and designer of CW Design & Co., TV host on the HGTV series Farmhouse Facelift and lifestyle blogger - in a nutshell, my life is crazy but beautiful.

My Story

I grew up on a farm and I was always a creative kid with a killer work ethic. I decided to pursue a diploma in Broadcast Journalism and worked in the restaurant industry for years before starting my family.

Fast forward a few years, with two babies in my life and a home of our own, I became obsessed with decorating and designing it (the creative soul in me was thriving!). It was through the transformation of our own home that I decided to attend night school for Interior Decorating and Redesign and the rest was history

I began my business (Small Town Style) in 2008 with 3 hour colour consultations and decor, but soon found myself being asked by clients to manage entire projects (a serious pinch me moment!). Eventually I started taking on complete designs and full renovation projects while managing them from start to finish. By 2018 (now a mom of 4) I re-branded my business and CW Design & Co was born. After being recruited via Instagram while working with my brother on my own Farmhouse I started to work on our HGTV show, Farmhouse Facelift, now headed into its third season!

A Few of My Favourite Things

BEING A MOTHER

It’s the greatest joy in my life. Raising little versions of you and the one you love is exhausting, confusing, and incredible all at the same time. Watching them grow, develop their personalities, and being able to guide them along the way is the most rewarding experience of my life.

COOKING

I love being in the kitchen. I like to meal prep, and learn about food - especially as it relates to mental health. My family and I love to cook together, and get creative with the types of fuel we put in our bodies.

OUTDOORS

I love spending time outdoors with family and friends, whether it’s camping, enjoying drinks and roasting marshmallows around a bonfire, dirt biking with our boys, or doing aerial silks with our daughter (did I mention we are a busy family!)

DESIGN

One of my passions in life is being creative, especially with design. I love helping people make their house feel like a home.
