Waterdown siblings look to take on 'throw-away society' in new HGTV home renovation show

Carolyn Wilbrink and Billy Pearson grew up building straw forts on the family farm in Waterdown. Almost 40 years later, the siblings are the faces of a new home renovation show — and it all started thanks to an Instagram post.

Wilbrink said she and her husband bought a farm home in Burford seven years ago. She and Pearson renovated the home together and, four years later, Wilbrink shared pictures of it on Instagram.

Then an LA production company sent them a message.
