I’ll walk you through it, step by step.
Sometimes, setting your priorities awry a little can be a good thing, so long as you hold yourself accountable. It’s why we let loose, how we de-stress, and can ultimately act as a form of self-care.
Two Simple Drinks To Fall In Love With This Month!
I think it’s just the theme of 2022. No, I’m not talking TikTok dance challenges, or the return of low-rise jeans, I’m not talking about political mayhem, or scary global affairs, or that strange Crocs’ revival (why…just why?), or even that Elton John/Britney Spears collab that has been all anyone can talk about.
Okay, I just realized, with this post, I am perfectly fitting my weird Mom-On-The-Job-Site niche right now, but here me out.
You know what one of my biggest pet peeves is? When you’re reading a recipe online and the author tells you their entire life story first. Don’t get me wrong, there are food bloggers out there that I love hearing story tell, but let’s be real…we’re here for the recipe.
Growing up as a farmer’s daughter, and a bit of a Tom Boy, fashion was never the center of my universe. My priorities involved working my butt off on the farm, and building elaborate hay forts with my little brother.
It's September!
Between the title of this blog and the mention of September in its first line, I hope I’ve inspired a mini Cher and/or Earth Wind and Fire dance party. ;)
Summer has always been my favourite season. Fellow Canadians, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. Fiery grill over frosty chill any day, am I right?
If you’ve seen the show, you know that my family and I value sustainability. We’re constantly antiquing (stay tuned for a list of my favourite antique finds), Upcycling, and re-inventing old pieces in our designs.
It’s been a busy last few months filming season two. Completely overhauling and transforming a home is laborious under regular circumstances.
The anticipation was real. I’d been waiting for this all week - for the last 11 days, to be exact. I felt like a little kid at school counting the days until Christmas break.
How working in a bar set me the f*ck up!
It’s 3:00am, a time I’m actually pretty well acquainted with. Partially because filming a TV show perpetually requires one to be “on” at ungodly hours, but also because, for a significant chunk of my life, I worked in the restaurant industry.
Carolyn Wilbrink has a tight emotional bond with Ontario Farmhouses; she grew up on her family farm, lives in one of her own now and breathes new life into family and friends' farmhouses.
